MY 1ST CHRISTMAS

On Saturday morning when we all went downstairs there were lots of presents under the christmas tree, everyone was excited....I just wanted my milk.
Then Mummy dressed me in funny clothes (daddy didnt like it)

Everyone came to celebrate with us and we all gave each other presents. it was a great day even tho I didnt really know what was going on.

12 weeks old

I am 12 weeks old now and I have been laughing lots this week, I giggle when Mummy or Daddy play 'this little piggy' with my toes then tickle me, I am very ticklish.

I love to watch Riley play with his toys and I watch Daddy & Riley wrestle.

I sometimes cry when I hear a loud noise, like this morning when Daddy and Riley were making car noises....it frightened me and I really cryed, Mummy had to take me to the kitchen to calm down. Im sure I will soon get used to all the noises.

I had my 1st taste of baby rice this week, it was strange. I dont like change very much so was not interested in it much. Mummy will try again in a few weeks.


We now have our Christmas tree up, I like to watch the lights on it.

10 WEEKS OLD

I will be 10 weeks old tomorrow.
Today Mummy & me went to collect Riley from playgroup we also go to baby clinic where I get weighed, I have put on over 1lb in 2 weeks so im now 15lb 3oz.

Last Friday Mummy, Riley & Nanny M (Daddy was very busy at work) took me to the doctors to have my 1st jabs, I screamed very loud when the nurse put the jab in my thigh and then she put another 1 in the other leg, Nanny said she could here me cry from the waiting room. Riley got very upset seeing me cry, but Mummy explained that it was ok and it will stop me getting poorly.
I love my big brother lots and smile as soon as I hear his voise or see his face.





Here I am playing on my mat, It has taken me a while to get used to because I didnt like being left alone on it at first but now I like it and laugh and talk to the toys on it.

8 weeks old

Im 8 weeks old and at my last weigh-in I was 14lb 2oz, OVER A STONE ALREADY!!!

Mummy is trying 2 get me used to having milk from a bottle I really dont like bottles at the moment but I will take a bottle from Daddy.

Im still feeding a lot for my age and Mummy is very tired.

7 weeks

Hi im 7 weeks old now, yesterday I had my 6-8 week review with the doctor, I measure 59cm in length and weigh 13lb 9oz. The doctor said I was a very strong baby.

6 weeks old

At this weeks weigh-in I was 13lb 2oz, Mummy was pleased I had gained weight because the whole family (except me) have had a sickness bug, and Mummys milk was almost gone but she kept trying and after 12hrs it was almost back to normal. Im glad I didnt get the bug because it was horrible.

Mummy & Daddy have been trying to get me to drink from a bottle, I didnt like it the 1st few times but I stayed with Daddy today while Mummy went out for lunch and I drank a whole bottle for the 1st time.
I drank a lot more from the bottle even though it was expressed milk, Maybe because I get all cosy and snuggly when Mummy feeds me and fall asleep before getting a full feed.

I smile a lot now and like to make noises, the past 6 weeks have gone so fast but im learning new things all the time. I love to listen to my big brother Riley although he can be a bit too loud sometimes.

5 weeks old

Im 5 weeks old now and got weighed yesterday im 12lb 12oz.
I had a bath with my big brother Riley again, and he thought it would be funny to splash me in the face...but I seemed to enjoy it....

1 month old

Im now 1 month old, at my last weigh-in last week I was 12lb 1oz im prob a lot more now.
I still feed a lot and Mummy wonders if she has enough milk for me sometimes, cos at times it seems im always hungry???
I do proper smiles now, and try really hard to make noises and when a noise comes out I look very pleased with myself.

3 weeks old

Im 3 weeks old tomorrow and when Mummy took me to the clinic to get weighed I was 11lb 14 1/2 oz thats a 20oz weight gain in 7 days...wow! and I have gained over 2lb since birth.
I eat a lot and sleep a lot, im usually awake in the evenings.

BIRTH REGISTRATION

Today Mummy & Daddy took me to register my birth, so I am now officially Rowan Thompson.
We had some visitors today but because im such a sleepy head I dont really know people are coming to visit me.
Here is me sleeping on Mummy, I love cuddles.

WEIGH-IN

I got weighed this morning and am now 10lb 9 1/2 oz, so have gained lots of weight in the last few days.
We have now been discharged from the midwife.
Today my big brother Riley fed me from a bottle...it was strange but as long as I got my milk I didnt mind.

11 days old

Im 11 days old today, Im quite a sleepy baby compared to what my big brother was. Mummy quite likes it though because we have lots of cuddles.
I have my eyes open a lot more now and today I have been trying to make noises and sometimes a nice noise come out.

I have had my 1st bath, I shared my bath with Riley and he helped to wash me. Mummy & Daddy expected me to cry lots but I didnt. Here is a picture of my 1st bath.....

BIRTH STORY

On Wednesday 22nd Mummy had mild contractions most of the day but they were not getting stronger or regular. So Mummy walked up & down the stairs and did lots of housework to encourage baby out.

At about 8pm I had a 'show' when getting out the bath, from then on the pains got worse and worse and by midnight I needed to ring the hospital, I stayed at home for a while longer but then Daddy rang Nanny Montfort to come out and stay with Riley as he was asleep.
We got to hospital at 01:10 and was assessed and was about 3-4cm dilated but my waters were about to break, so went into a delivery room at 02:00, I dont think the midwives expected things to progress so quickly because my waters broke then needed to push and baby Rowan was born at 03:17.
It didnt seem that quick at the time for me and the contractions were MEGA painfull and so was the pushing, thanks to gas & air and lots of back rubbing from Daddy. I managed to do it. (asked for something stronger but labour progressed so quick there was no time).
Rowan weighed 9lb 14oz which shocked everyone.


After the birth I felt exhausted, was in shock and my legs were shaking. After a small sleep I went into the bath and felt much better.
We were allowed to go home as soon as we got Rowans blood results back.
By 07:30 we were back home to greet Nanny and Riley (who was just waking up).

HERE IS OUR GORGEOUS NEW ADDITION TO THE FAMILY....ROWAN THOMPSON!

HE'S HERE

Rowan Thompson was born early this morning at 03:17 and weighed a whooping 9lb 14oz.
Our gorgeous little man was born very quickly in approx 2 hours and we were able to leave the hospital a few hours later. Baby Rowan was in abit of shock after a quick birth (so was mummy) so he has slept most of the day but starting to be more alert now. :-)
.......Riley loves his baby brother and cuddles and kisses him lots, unles Rowan is cries then Riley gets very upset...bless!!!

due date!!!

Lil mans due date is TODAY!!!
Have been having pains most evenings but nothing by day.
COME ON BABY BOY...WE ALL CANT WAIT 2 MEET U. xxx
(and Mummy is very uncomfortable most of the day and night.)

37 weeks

37 Weeks now and here is a picture of Mummys belly, its a lot larger than it was when I was pregnant with Riley.


Baby is head down now and Mummy is hoping baby will arrive sooner rather than later as she has sore hips and pelvis.
Baby room is finished just need to add some finishing touches to the room.

33 WEEKS

Mummy is 33 weeks pregnant and baby boy is moving around lots and lots now.
Big brother Riley sings to and cuddles mummys bump all the time and cant wait to meet his little brother.
Mummy has now finished work but lots of things still need to be done before baby arrives.
Daddy is working hard in the baby room (with some help from Riley), plastering and painting etc.

24 weeks

Mummy is now 24 weeks pregnant, Baby is kicking a lot today.

Generally the baby is less active than Riley was at this stage in the pregnancy, maybe a calm, chilled out relaxed baby...UMMMM! We will see!

Feeling very large already :/

20 week scan

Here is the scan pic from the 20 week scan...ITS ANOTHER BOY!!!



We were quite suprised when the sonographer said it was a boy, because the pregnancy has been so different compared to Riley's.
We are very happy although Mummy was hoping to buy some pink clothes.

Riley still not sure why Mummy keeps being sick, told him he's going to be a big brother. :)

17/18 weeks...baby moving!

Mummy fely baby move a bit just like butterflys in my belly...amazing feeling.
still being sick...Grrr!

BABY NUMBER 2. 12 wk scan

We are expecting another baby due September 24th.

Pics below of the 1st scan....baby measured at 13 weeks which changed the due date to Sept 17th.

Mummy has been extremley sick on this pregnancy so thinks it might be a girl...will probably find out at the next scan.
Forgot how tired you get in the 1st few weeks....in bed before Riley most nights.

Riley doesnt understand Mummy is having another baby, he just lifts his top up and looks at his on belly??? cute!
